Put some rocks over the wood. It will sink in a few days.

Then Put heavier rock and let it sit on the wood for a 2-3 weeks

If in 30 days it did not sink then It will never sink itself. The wood is not absorbing the water so this is happening.

Boil it for one or two hours, works for me. Water seeps into the core. Then tie it with a heavier rock or stone and put it in a bucket or tub. Leave it overnight. It ll slowly start sinking.
