Rohit, well as most of them have mentioned about mixing different sizes is not good since there will be problem of bullying and food competition. Which can be overcome with excess food and some hiding places. However, the problem of mixing different sizes is much severe as the bigger ones secrete hormone which is problematic for smaller ones.
Another suggestion with your small discus, obviously once they are separated to a new tank; don't have all RO water for WC. Have it mixed with tap water, as RO water usually does not have minerals which are required in order for smaller ones to grow.
