Its is his hardwork that has yielded such wonderful results. I know Ahhokji is big fan of natural ecosystem and had implemented this design in his 5 footer marine. I remember seeing at least 2-3 types of benefical algae in his custom made one of a kind sump for that aquarium.

Truly Amazing!)

I read about marine algae a little back and I don't remember the name of the algae you had
But I certainly remember that it is the toughest algae and the most hard to get rid of
I wonder how you managed to eradicate it completely.
sushant wrote:lovely tank Ashok ji. can you give us some info. about how you managed to get rid of the algae(since this can be an example for many of the marine hobbyists, on how to fight algae)[/quote

The main reason of the algae staying for a long time(about 6 months) was erratic power supply in my area(upto 10-12 hrs.).
Due to long power cuts was not able to run the bio pellet reactor and protienskimmer properly which contributed to the algae problem.
This is not the toughest of the algae to get rid of,one has to maintain proper water parameters and do regular water changes.

Thank you all for the appreciation, will post an update soon.
